Itinerary
Day 1: From Cusco to Pisac Ollantaytambo and Chinchero
Our Sacred Valley of the Incas tour will begin with pickup from your hotel in Cusco between 7:30 and 8:00 AM. On the way to Pisac, we will enjoy views of the impressive agricultural terraces on the hillsides upon which the ancient Inca city of Pisac sits. You will have time to explore the traditional market before heading to the mountaintop to explore the Pisac archaeological site. We will continue driving towards Urubamba to enjoy lunch at a typical restaurant. Afterward, we will travel to Ollantaytambo, an impressive archaeological site that served military, religious, administrative, and agricultural functions in ancient times. After visiting Ollantaytambo, we will head to the Chinchero archaeological park. Here, we will explore an Inca site featuring a colonial church and artisanal weaving workshops, where we can observe the creation of traditional textiles using natural dyes. Our tour will conclude with the return to Cusco and drop-off at the Plaza de Armas in the historic center.
