Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Moray – Maras – Salt Mines – Cusco

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in downtown Cusco at 8:30 AM on our tourist bus to begin the tour to Maras, Moray, and the Salt Mines. First, we will go to the town of Chinchero.

You will observe how local artisans transform raw materials into exquisite pieces, meticulously applying ancestral techniques. Marvel at the alchemy of natural dyes obtained from plants, minerals, and even insects, which color the fibers with vibrant hues, resulting in textiles of incomparable beauty and authenticity.

The journey from Chinchero takes approximately 40 minutes. Along the way, you will see the snow-capped peaks of the Andes and yellow fields of wheat, barley, quinoa, and potatoes. We arrive at the archaeological site of Moray, which features three Inca terraces shaped like amphitheaters (large, medium, and small). After a guided tour in Moray, you will go to Maras, which still preserves its colonial architectural beauty.

The next stop is the Maras Salt Mines, a fascinating alternative to the typical Inca ruins. Discover these salt mines with millions of years of history, which have nourished the region for centuries and whose salt remains an important local product.

Our tour concludes in the emblematic heart of the city: the historic Plaza de Armas.
